Our shared interest in an area propane operation also saw success, achieving a profitable bottom line, refinancing debt for a more favorable interest rate, and hiring a new manager. While North Star continues to be profitable completely on its own, the high cost of propane is a concern. This is why North Star was created. It is a trustworthy company that will never allow excessive profit-taking during times of above-normal propane costs. As North Star’s President, FEM Manager Paul Erickson promises to do his best to ensure it provides the highest quality service at the lowest possible cost.

Manager Arlyn Ritter is doing an excellent job running the day-to-day- activities of the business.

North Star will start the summer fills sometime around the 1st of July. It will also have contracts available for next season. Unfortunately, energy markets remain strong and it appears prices will not retreat any time soon. North Star is expecting propane to be priced in the same range as last year.

The company would also like to remind customers that it has qualified personnel to service your home air conditioning needs this summer. North Star also sells Coleman air conditioners and furnaces. They have proven to be a very reliable, competitively-priced product line. Employees are also qualified to service commercial heating and air conditioning accounts.

Summer is a good time to have regulators replaced if they are outdated. Anytime service has been interrupted for whatever reason, that line needs to be pressure checked to insure there are no leaks. North Star drivers are instructed to notify us of any regulators that are outdated or of any other unsafe conditions.  This is for your safety. We have all heard of propane explosions and the destruction and injuries that they produce. In every case, this is caused by equipment in poor condition or installations made by unqualified workers.

Propane is a very safe source of fuel and equipment is designed with many safety features to prevent these types of accidents, but must be installed correctly and serviced periodically. For questions on service or safety issues call 1-877-754-8673.
