After a long wait, WildBlue gave FEM the green light to market its high-speed satellite internet service, in the summer of 2005. Under the name of dakotablue.net, FEM focused sales in the Ipswich area as well as in the Black Hills. Today, FEM has over 237 subscribers, with several installers and store fronts in the Sioux Falls, Huron and Black Hills areas, with more subscribers signing up every day. By offering this service, FEM not only addresses a key area of essential services for rural Faulk, Edmunds, and McPherson Counties, but has created a revenue stream that in time will benefit FEM members by adding diversity to our revenue mix.
